Global Business Meeting

The “Asesores U” program was created as an academic and logistical support strategy within the framework of the Global Meeting Business Matchmaking Forum, with the purpose of involving outstanding students from degree programs related to international trade in high-impact business events.

For this edition, selected students from the International Business Administration and International Business programs at UDES, USTA, UNAB, and UPB universities have been chosen. These students have demonstrated strong academic performance, communication skills, proficiency in digital tools, and a clear commitment to serving the business sector.

"Asesor U" Student Profile

Develops strategic thinking and analytical judgment to identify business opportunities, build valuable relationships, and provide solutions in dynamic international business environments.
Currently pursuing studies in International Business Administration and/or International Business, with a focus on foreign trade, logistics, and international negotiation.
Has knowledge of internationalization protocols, business agendas, and the dynamics of corporate events.
Demonstrates a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to adapt to multicultural settings.
Is proficient in digital tools for scheduling, communication, and logistical support.
Possesses strong customer service skills, information management capabilities, and excels in collaborative work.

Assigned Activities

Support in Scheduling Logistics:
  • Assist in the scheduling and confirmation process of meetings between Santander-based companies and international buyers.
  • Facilitate communication and share relevant information regarding buyers, their availability, and specific requirements from both parties to ensure effective appointment scheduling.
  • Use the digital platforms provided by the organization to ensure the commercial agenda is carried out efficiently.
Direct Assistance to Participating Entrepreneurs:
  • Act as the first point of contact for local business representatives during the event.
  • Address questions related to the schedule, meeting locations, waiting times, and other logistical aspects of the event.
  • Help facilitate communication between the entrepreneur and the organizing team.
Event Organization Support:
  • Collaborate in the planning, operational logistics, and execution of event activities.
  • Support tasks such as participant registration, space coordination, material distribution, and attendee guidance.
  • Ensure that the event schedule is followed as planned, anticipating potential issues.
Agenda Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor scheduled meetings, confirm their completion, and record any changes or updates.
  • Report any incidents or suggestions for improvement to the organizing team.
  • Assist in compiling and systematizing the data collected during the event to support the event’s closure and impact assessment.
With this final function, the process cycle is completed:

2. Accompaniment
3. Operation
4. Follow-up

This hands-on immersion not only strengthens the student’s professional skills but also contributes to the success of the event and the development of the regional and international business ecosystem.

This experience is framed within the 70-20-10 learning methodology, where 70% of learning comes from direct practice and solving real-life situations; 20% is strengthened through guidance, feedback, and interaction with entrepreneurs and organizers; and 10% corresponds to prior training and the theoretical preparation provided to the student.

Through this, the "Asesores U" program aims to be a space for experiential learning, enhancing students’ professional competencies through active participation in a real business environment. This participation will be officially certified by the organizers, adding value to the professional profile of each student in the program.
