Results: Global Business Summit.

Global Business Summit BGA Held from May 29 to 31, 2025, in Bucaramanga (Santander, Colombia), the summit brought together over 232 export-ready companies and 14 binational chambers. Across three days, more than 350 business meetings were held, including company visits, virtual matchmaking tables, panels, opportunity roundtables, and tourism activities.

The event focused on promoting four pillars of internationalization: foreign investment, exports and imports, tourism, and international cooperation.

Key Highlights:

  • 232 companies with export potential were the main participants in the event.
  • 14 countries (represented through binational chambers of commerce) actively participated, covering sectors such as food, manufacturing, fashion, technology, tourism, logistics, services, pharmaceuticals, and personal wellness.
  • Over 350 business meetings were held both in person and virtually, including up to 600 pre-scheduled digital appointments for the Neomundo Business Matchmaking sessions.
  • The program combined expert panels, company visits, and the Feria Bonita de Colombia, alongside cultural and tourist activities such as tours of the Free Trade Zone, Cerro del Santísimo, the Paragliding Park, and gastronomic showcases.

  • A total of 352 companies with export potential have been identified and endorsed by PROCOLOMBIA.
  • The three most prominent sectors are Global Value Chains, which include companies from the Construction Materials, Metalworking, and Fashion System subsectors. This group represents 28% of the participants.
  • The Agri-food group accounts for 22% of participating companies. Its subsectors include Coffee, Cocoa, Chocolate and cocoa-based preparations, and Fresh Fruits.
  • The Industries 4.0 group also represents 22% of participating companies, comprising the subsectors of Software Development, Engineering and Architecture, Contact Centers, and Video Games.

  • The companies with the most export experience (over 50 years) total 11.
  • There are 44 companies with export experience ranging from 30 to 49 years.
  • The remaining 285 companies have less than 30 years of experience; although many fall within the 1 to 10-year range, all have successfully exported products.
